16th Street Heights (Submitted by J)
Sixteenth Street Heights is a hidden gem within D.C! The area bounded by 16th St, Arkansas Ave, 14th St, and Colorado Avenue is fast becoming a preferred "in-town" location for young professionals seeking close proximity to downtown DC & Silver Spring. The community is relatively close & convenient to other areas of DC, too - Georgetown, Chevy Chase, Dupont Circle, & even Bethesda and northern Virginia are all within a quick drive, thus making it a great spot for both singles & families. We're also afforded unlimited recreational options with having Rock Creek Park on two sides of us, and it's very easy to use Rock Creek Parkway to speed past urban gridlock and be home in minutes! Sixteenth Street Heights residents have the benefit of being close to plenty of great restaurants and shops in adjacent neighborhoods, yet we have the ability to leave many of the inner-city worries of those neighborhoods when we head back up 16th St. For ease of life, location convenience, and good value in real estate, Sixteenth Street Heights is definitely worth consideration!

Manor Park (Submitted by jf)
A great, hidden neighborhood in NW DC! Right across the border from Takoma Park, MD, it has beautiful old homes with big backyards, and a big park right down Third street with ball fields, new tennis courts, and a huge new aquatic and fitness center. It's very quiet and safe. Every time we turn around, a new young family is moving in and fixing up an old house. It's also very diverse. Everyone says hello, walks their dogs, and gets to know their neighbors. The Takoma metro is an easy walk, as is downtown Takoma with it's restaurants and shops. A short drive gets you to booming downtown Silver Spring as well.

Crestwood (Submitted by KB)
Located midway from Silver Spring, MD to Downtown DC on 16th Street, NW. Large family homes on tree lined streets. At one time area was called Embassy Row. Generally quite, walking distance to Cater Baron - great for the summer events. Sixteenth Street is always busy with traffic. Neighborhood is in ward 4.
