Del Ray, Alexandria is a beautiful and safe community. Mount Vernon Avenue is loaded with shops and great restaurants and is always filled with people walking their dogs. It's extremely convenient to both D.C. and to Old Town, which made commuting very easy. I would say that the best part of Del Ray was the sense of community -neighbors always looked out for eachother and were always there to help. It's the friendliest place I've ever lived.
