Comments about Arlington - Arlington Forest

Arlington Oaks (Submitted by CRG)

Arlington Oaks is a quiet, safe, historic neighborhood not far from Ballston, there are about 375 garden-style condos (mostly 1 & 2 bedroom, with a few 3 BR town homes). The neighborhood is surrounded by similar apartment buildings/communities, and has lots of old oak trees. The units aren't new (built in the 40's) but they are very well cared for. Condo fees are reasonable and the management is very responsive and helpful.

Ballston/Virginia Square Area (Submitted by GS)

Area has transformed itself quite dramatically in the last 10 years--from a rough and tumble collection of odd stores and antique shops, to a very vibrant and bustling neighborhood of chic shops, ecclectic to neighborly restaurants, and cool digs. Lots of up-and-comers as well as established gen-X types. Can be a little too cruisey, crowded and busy sometimes.

Lexington Square (Submitted by dj)

Terrific building. Great area to live, eat, walk, play tennis, basketball, etc.
