Brooklyn/Church Street (Submitted by JS)
I say Brooklyn/Church Street because "Brooklyn" is very Vast and not all parts of Brooklyn are true for the part that is on Church Street. Church street is a Blue Collar neighborhood located in South Brooklyn/North Glen Burnie. The neighborhood consists of Stand alone homes, as well as rowhomes. The yards are all well maintained, and there is a strong sense of community. Every Labor Day and Memorial Day my block has a block party and everyone brings food and greets all the neighbor's... actually pretty much any holiday my neighborhood does something that involves the whole block. The neighborhood is safe, and is a good place to raise children. Nights are quiet, the neighbor's respect one another. All homes on my block are owner occupied, no rentals. The home values on Church Street in Brooklyn remain low compared to the rest of the state, which makes Brooklyn a well-kept secret as one of the great neighborhood Values in Maryland. A blue collar community that is affordable, close to 3 major highways, and houses some of the friendliest people in the state.
