Wonderful family neighborhood. All homes feed into one of two elementary schools but all feed into Robinson middle & high school. Feels like a real community & neighborhhod in fast-paced NoVa. You see the same neighbors at school, sports, church & local shopping so you get to know people quickly. Great schools. Nice single-family homes plus some townhomes. Express Metro bus right to Pentagon. Lake Royal right in community has many activities such as soccer, LL baseball, fishing, biking, etc. Very active civic association, but no HOA!

Great location. Close to everything you need. Countless grocery stores, shopping centers, malls, family activities. Surprising as it may seem, very little traffic in and around this and surrounding neighborhoods. Great schools all within walking distance. Great commuting location with several different options. Active community and great family neighborhood. Kings Park West really is a hidden treasure in Fairfax County!

Kings Park West (KPW) is a GREAT neighborhood with a wonderful mix of people different backgrounds and ages. Because the neighborhood is about 40+ years old, there are mature trees everywhere providing shade and privacy. Very few homes are for rent, but many, many renters have been known to buy in KPW once their lease is up b/c they enjoy the benefits of the KPW. The neighborhood encourages neighbor interaction via many Civic Association sponsored events including an Easter egg hunt, Halloween parade and carnival, park clean up days, community yard sale, etc. A resident has three pools to choose from to join for summer fun. The public schools are very desirable: Laural Ridge Elem. and Robinson Secondary. The Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts are very active in the community. A Fairfax Co. park (Lakeside Park) is surrounded by the neighborhood and has trails, a playground, a basketball court and sports fields to enjoy. There are several churches and other worship centers, grocery stores, and specialty shopping convenient to the neighborhood. The neighborhood is just south of Braddock Road which, if you go east, feeds traffic into I-495 and, if you go west, the Fairfax Co. Pkway. Fair Oaks Mall is just a few minutes away, as is, Fairfax City which has many ethnic and traditional restaurants plus shopping. Target and Wal-Mart are about 10 min. away, near the Burke Virginia Rail Express (VRE) station. George Mason U. is just on the north side of Braddock Road, at the intersection of Braddock Rd. and Rt. 123. KPW is a well maintained and very friendly neighborhood for all.

We lived in this KPW for nearly 10 years. Wonderful community with lots of amenities (pools, tennis courts, parks, tot lots, lake, sports field). Lots of trees, walking distance to k-12 schools. Only minutes away from several shopping centers and George Mason University. 90% of the community is single familiy detached homes - the rest are townhomes. Hosts many different community events throughout the year.
