Woodbury Woods (Submitted by ALF)

Woodbury Woods is a wonderful community one mile south of George Mason University. 30 homes were built in 1978-80 in multi-level california style, all very open interiors with very plain exteriors. Largely a family community, the location is just two blocks from the wonderful Bonnie Brae elementary school, four blocks from Oakview Elementary, and five blocks from the nationally recognized Robinson High School. The Sideburn Run Swimmin Club is just two blocks away, and the locaiton offers ready access to Target, Giant, and shopping (1 mile) in addition to Walmart (2 miles) and the full Burke Shopping district (3 miles). It is also just one mile from the Virginia Rail Express Burke Station, which also offers a nice farmers market on Saturdays. Lots are unusually large for the area, with 2,500-3,000 sq. ft. homes on 1/3 to 1/2 acre lots, all very well groomed.

Fairfax Club Estates (Submitted by ECB)

Fairfax Club Estates is a very residential neighborhood with lots of sidewalks and a comunity pool. Neighbors are generally very friendly, and most homes are owned and lived in by the owners. The location of the neighborhood allows for easy access to all major highways and shopping centers, but resdients can still feel like they are living in a private/residential area.
