Neighborhood comments from local residents

River Oaks (Submitted by MS)

River Oaks is a pretty, quiet neighborhood with lots of trees. We saw deer, foxes, and other wildlife pass through our back yard on a regular basis. The best aspect of the neighborhood is surely its location -- so convenient to DC, Tysons and the beltway, but while retaining a small-town charm. People mostly keep to themselves. There's a bit of a separation between homeowners that have been in the neighborhood for years, and the more recent arriavals. It seems as if the older group might resent the younger group (and the new houses that they often are building), but it's mostly an unspoken thing. The only downside was the road noise from the Beltway and/or the Parkway, depending on your placement in the neighborhood. But for us, that was more than counterbalanced by the benefits of living there.
