Comments about Gainesville

Lynn Forest (Submitted by SAC)

Lynn Forest is a small community just north of the Manassas National Battlefield Park in Prince William County, Virginia. With a mix of heavily wooded lots and those used for horse pastures, property sizes range from about 1.5 to 3 acres. Homeowners here are friendly and engaged with one another (residents plan block parties and keep running lists of e-mails) and are are often seen walking the neighborhood or tending to their yards. Many families with school-age children can be found. Although this community is in a rural environment, a large number of big chain retailers and a regional mall are 6-8 miles away. While an ideal setting, those considering living in this community must consider their tolerance for very bad I-66 corridor traffic congestion and resulting long commute times.

Somerset (Submitted by J&FC)

Somerset is a quiet yet lively place with new houses and friendly people. We enjoy nature paths and green areas and are growing to benefit with the amenities of larger communities. It is an enjoyable place to live in!
