Mantua (Submitted by BH)
The Mantua community has excellent schools and a very active civic organization. There is no home owners association, but the residents have various interest clubs that meet regularly- Moms groups, tennis club, gardening club, book clubs, community pool, etc. This is a great community for families - there is an annual Mantua parade, Pool parties, kids clothing rummage sale, and more. The community consists of single family homes and most of the streets have sidewalks. The location is wooded and on rolling hills, many of the homes are on parkland and all of the homes are close to the Fairfax County cross county biking/hiking trail and Eakin Park. Although residents have the feeling of seclusion, they are close to I495, I66, Route 236, Route 50 and many shops and restaurants. It is a 20 minute drive to Washington, DC without heavy traffic.
