Vienna (Submitted by )
May 1, 2007 town council elections resulted in one new member and two incombents winning. This indicates that Vienna residents who voted are satisfied with the services they are receiving. New sidewalks continue to be built where none previously existed; a storm drain watershed awareness program is in place; and the downtown area will generally remain the same as it appears now until the next election (no raised rooflines in business-zoned areas, and no uniformity in buildings' appearance). The new Town Green dedication is May 12, 2007; many concerts and family-friendly events are in place for the summer months from now on. Traffic congestion on the town's main thoroughfare, Maple Avenue (Route 123), continues to be studied by the council, and addressing this issue is a priority for the new first-time elected councilmember.

Kingscrest is located within the limits of the Town of Vienna.
I have lived in my home for over 30 years and although there have been many changes over the years Vienna still has many of the small town qualities.
Vienna is a family orientated community with celebrations during the year for all ages to enjoy.
This has been a wonderful town to raise my children in.

Vienna (Submitted by DN)
Vienna is a family-friendly community in Fairfax County, Va. It is a distinct town, with its own mayor, city council - and property taxes. Vienna tries to maintain a small-town feel with a Halloween parade, Fourth of July fireworks, Viva Vienna fair over Memorial Day, and Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
Vienna is bisected by Route 123, which is a cut-through route for many commuters. Consequently, traffic can be frustrating. But people are friendly, city services are responsive, and the schools are highly regarded.
