Neighborhood comments from local residents

Chevy Chase (Submitted by WSN)

Chase Chase is a nice area. The people there are generally well-educated, friendly but overly so and will to be both interactive and leave you space. The housing stock is varied in terms of size and style, but generally well maintained. Shop, cinemas and restaurants are near-by and with good selection. Access to DC and to the beltway are both very good. The public schools are good, but with plenty of private schools if that is your preference. Prices are very high and have rised sharply over the last few years. Services from the county are good, but there is interest in having the neighborhood where I live become incorporated. The county is just too bid a political entity to speak to the more specific needs of Chevy Chase. I wish that all of Chevy Chase could be incorporated into a true town rather than having 3-4 smaller incorporated jurisdicitions.
